Transparent Speakers get a trendy matte-black finish
Transparent has added a matte-black finish to its Small and Transparent speakers, giving their already beautiful Scandinavian design an up-to-date aesthetic.
The speakers are made from a single aluminium box frame encased and tightly sealed by tempered glass panels that allow you to see the minimalist components inside.
In the larger Transparent speaker (431 × 333 × 118mm), those components include two 3-inch full-range drivers (speakers), a 6-inch woofer and a small black box housing the electronics, controls (Volume, Bass and Treble) and ports. It has an output of 140W.
The smaller Small Transparent speaker has just the two 3-inch full-range drivers in a cabinet measuring 268 × 203 × 95mm. The workings sit in the base, with a simple Volume knob for control. It has an output of 2X 15W.
Both speakers can be used individually or paired with a second speaker using Bluetooth and True Wireless streaming, or a cable. They are compatible with Apple AirPlay, Sonos, Amazon Echo and Google Cast.
In addition to their new matte-black finish, Transparent says it has honed the Digital Signal Processor (DSP) chip to create studio-level quality production in the new speakers.
“Mirroring the speaker’s design and the brand’s ambition, the sound has been fine tuned for a crystal-clear depth of sound that cuts through and brings the listener closer to the music,” it says.
Transparent’s founders, Stockholm-based Per Brickstad and Martin Willers, have a forward-thinking philosophy that aims to create products that can exist as interior design objects while bringing the listener closer to the music through pure, unadulterated audio.
Even more significant in today’s world, they make products for a circular economy.
