ECOVACS’ new DEEBOT T9+ is a robot vacuum that makes your home smell nice
The ECOVACS DEEBOT T9+ sounds almost too good to be true – a robot vacuum cleaner that finds its own way around, empties itself and makes your home smell nice.
The DEEBOT T9+ is the first robot vacuum cleaner to have an air freshener unit that releases fragrances directly onto the floor to remove musty and pet odours. A fan spreads the fragrance evenly. There are three kinds of fragrances available in replaceable capsules that can last up to 60 days.
The air freshener can be turned on or off using the ECOVACS HOME app.
The robot vacuum cleaner also has some new tech on board that makes it more efficient. First is TrueDetect 3D 2.0 for real-time obstacle detection and avoidance. ECOVACS says it has 10 times the accuracy of traditional infrared technology, down to millimetre-level.
Second is TrueMapping 2.0 for precise navigation. “It is able to map a scanning area twice as large and with four times higher precision as compared with the previous generation of laser distance sensor technologies,” the company says. It can even navigate in total darkness.
Once the DEEBOT T9+ has done its thing around the house, it will return to the included Auto-Empty Station, which will do exactly that – automatically clear the robot’s dustbin. It can hold 2.5 litres of your muck, which is about one month’s worth, ECOVACS says.
The app will alert you when it’s time the station was emptied.
A bonus with this robotic vacuum cleaner is an oscillating mopping system that helps to remove stubborn stains.
ECOVACS says this system has a newly designed motor and movement structure that minimises noise. It uses disposable mopping pads to absorb water evenly, capture dust and reduce residual water stains.
The ECOVACS HOME App – which lets you set the amount of water used, suction power, cleaning times and routes for different rooms – has been upgraded with interactive 3D maps. These give you a more realistic view of your home that you can edit, zoom, rotate, and add furnishings.
