Belkin brings iPhone 12 MagSafe chargers to the home and car
Belkin is coming to the iPhone 12 party in a big way with the pending release of two MagSafe chargers and a screen protector made for the new Apple smartphones.
As you can read in our wrap-up of the new Apple iPhone 12 range, they can be charged using a new MagSafe system, where wireless chargers snap on to an array of magnets built into the back of the phones.
Belkin takes full advantage of this connectivity with the BOOSTCHARGE PRO MagSafe 3-in-1 Wireless Charger and the MagSafe Car Vent Mount PRO.
The BOOSTCHARGE PRO is a ‘tree’ that has pods for charging three devices at once – one of the iPhone 12 range (at 15W), an Apple Watch and a set of AirPods or AirPods Pro with Wireless Charging Case (at 5W).
It can hold your iPhone 12 in portrait or landscape mode and can charge through MagSafe cases up to 3mm thick.
For the car, the Belkin MagSafe Car Vent Mount PRO is a gadget that clips onto your car vent to both hold and charge your iPhone. Hopefully we’ll be able to review one soon and bring you more details.
Finally, there’s also an UltraGlass screen protector. One of the big features of the iPhone 12s launched this week is their Ceramic Shield front covers, but Belkin reckons you can never have enough protection.
The screen protectors are made of “German-engineered lithium aluminosilicate (LAS) glass” that’s been “chemically strengthened through a double-ion exchange process”. Being ultra-slim, they’re designed to make it feel that you don’t have them on.
