Turtle Beach’s flagship Stealth Pro II targets multi-platform gamers with four-device switching
Turtle Beach has launched its flagship Stealth Pro II Wireless Gaming Headset, which offers premium audio and microphone performance and seamless switching between up to four consoles and PCs without the usual pairing headaches.
At the centre is the company’s CrossPlay 2.0 system, which lets users jump between connected devices at the press of a button. For players splitting time across Xbox, PlayStation and PC — often with a phone in the mix — it’s a practical upgrade that could remove one of the more frustrating parts of multi-platform gaming.
The Stealth Pro II also supports simultaneous 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth, allowing audio from two sources at once. That means you can take a call or play music alongside game audio, with separate volume controls for each.
Regarding audio quality, the headset is certified for 24-bit/96kHz high-resolution wireless audio and uses 60mm dual drivers designed to separate bass and treble for better clarity. Support for Dolby Atmos adds spatial positioning, which should help in competitive titles where directional cues matter.
There’s a strong focus on voice, too. The detachable boom mic includes AI-based noise reduction and flip-to-mute, and there are also built-in microphones.
Most settings — including EQ and mic tuning — are handled through the Swarm II companion app.
Active noise cancellation
Active noise cancellation is included via a four-microphone array, and battery life is handled by a dual-pack system. Each battery is rated for up to 40 hours, with a charging dock keeping a spare ready, effectively eliminating downtime.
Design-wise, Turtle Beach is leaning towards the premium market, with anodised aluminium, memory foam cushions and a suspension-style headband aimed at long sessions. There’s also support for glasses wearers through its ProSpecs cushioning system.
The company says the new model builds on the original Stealth Pro with upgrades across sound, comfort and connectivity. It’s priced accordingly: $549.95 in Australia, placing it firmly in the high-end bracket alongside other flagship gaming headsets.
